REGSEC to Launch Operation “Suhu doo” in Northern Region

Tamale, Ghana – The Northern Regional Security Council (REGSEC) led by its Chairman, Salifu Saeed, will on Monday February 5, 2018 launch operation “Suhu doo” (calm lives).

The operation, according to a statement signed by the Chairman, is expected  to restore total calm in the region to enable residents go about their normal duties in peace.

It also seeks to “demonstrate the readiness and preparedness of the security agencies to deal with any miscreants who would engage in various forms of crime in the region”.

PRESS RELEASE

The Regional Security Council (REGSEC) under the Chairmanship of the Regional Minister will launch an operation dubbed “Suhu doo” (Calm lives).

The operation is aimed at;
(I) Restoring total calm in the region for people to go about their normal duties without fear or panic.

(II) To demonstrate the readiness and preparedness of the Security Agencies to deal with any miscreants who would engage in various forms of crime in the region.

(III) To galvanise public support and cooperation for Security Agencies to be able to maintain absolute peace in the region.

(IV) Overall, operation “Suhu doo” (Calm Lives) is expected to achieve the needed peace and tranquility that is required for the speedy development of the region.

The launch is slated as follows:

Date: Monday, 5th February, 2018

Venue: Tamale Jubilee Park

Time: 8:00am.

There will be a Route March by Security Agencies to precede the launch on that day.

The Regional Security Council is inviting Traditional rulers, Opinion leaders, Youth groups and all Peace Groups in the region to be part of this important launch to bring hope, safety and prosperity for our People.
