Pelungu, Ghana – Two persons are reported dead following a broad day robbery attack in the midst of busy market day activities at Pelungu in the Nabdam District of the Upper East Regional.
According to eye witnesses, the gang of four robbers stormed a Rural Bank situated around the market area on two motorbikes and reportedly made away with some amount of money.
A pandemonium broke out in the market as traders and persons around run for their lives following sporadic shots fired by the robbers.
Two persons were shot and killed in the process. The dead persons are yet to be identified.
A team of police patrol team arrived at the scene minutes after the robbers bolted away.
