Wa, Ghana – The Upper West regional police command has arrested a mother and her son for inflicting razor wounds on two sisters for allegedly stealing an amount of 200 cedis.
Briefing the media after the arrest, Deputy PRO for the regional police command Inspector Gideon Boateng said the two, Biiana Dabou,45 and John Dabou, 25 were arrested at about 4 AM on Thursday after a report was lodged to the police by the twin sister of the victim.
The main suspect John Dabou is alleged to have taken the twins to the Wa Sports Stadium where he inflicted the razor wounds on them in his bid to secure a confession from the girls in relation to the missing 200 cedis belonging to Biiana Dabou who is their mother.
The suspects are in police custody aiding in investigation.
