It is no news If any Prophet or Preacher tells you he sees your blessing, miracle, money or breakthrough coming, because scripture says goodness and mercy shall follow us and as long as something is following you, its certainly going to keep on coming at you…
But the issue here is how long its going to take before this goodness and mercies arrive at your doorstep…
If you read Psalm 23 where this wonderful promise of goodness and mercy was made, it first mentioned “He leads me in the path of righteousness” therefore per reason of first mention, you and I know that we cannot be talking about goodness and mercy without first talking about been led in the path of righteousness…
You see, if I read through Psalm 23, I realise that I don’t need to be a bible scholar in order to know that goodness and mercy only follows those who are led by the Holy Spirit in the path of righteous so why are the men in churches now promising their congregants an outpouring of goodness and mercy without considering the path on which these people are walking on?
Can you be walking on the path of snakes and be expecting donkeys to be jumping behind you?
Or do you journey on the path of wolves and expect an escort from rabbits?
Certainty impossible!!!
There are so many Christians who are discouraged, frustrated and disappointed in life because they were expecting something different from the path on which they were been led…
Anything called Good and Merciful does not exist in this world, it is only given by God to his children who humble themselves to be led in obedience through the path of righteousness…
When Satan rebelled and was dropped here on earth by God, a divine decree was made by the Almighty that subjected all humanity into perpetual wickedness and suffering and that was “WOE TO THE INHABITANTS OF THE EARTH”
From that very day, humanity was plundered into a realm of darkness, death and woe….
Until Jesus came as the Way, Truth and Life to deliver mankind from the Curse imputed in the word “WOE”…
As at now, this world is cursed with it inhabitants who live a life that is not centered on the life Christ Jesus came to give us on Calvary, you are cursed by God himself and to escape this curse, Jesus made a way called “The Path of Righteousness”…
No matter how many times your Prophet tells you he sees your breakthrough, miracle, deliverance, blessing and promotion coming, it will never get to you because if you are living in sin and disobedience to the word of God, goodness and mercy cannot find you, let alone follow you, the only thing following you is WOE.
So before you type “Mercy” at the end of this message, ask yourself, on what path am I been led on?
Is it the path of righteousness or the path of lukewarmness?
You see how Christians in this generation pray like mad people and yet has nothing happening… Its because the Shepherds are not leading them in the path of righteousness yet, they are leading them in hot prayers for God’s goodness…
So before that prophet tells you he has seen your marriage, ask him if he first saw self-control…
Before he sees your open door, ask him if he has seen your open heart…
Before he sees your miracle, ask him if he first saw your Truthfulness….
Finally…
Before he sees your Prophetic convocational convoy of charismatic and catastrophic breakthrough, ask him…
