Tamale, Ghana – Information reaching Savannahnewsonline.com indicates that, members of the Jirapa Municipal Assembly in the Upper West Region have finally set a date to meet and pass a vote of no confidence on their Municipal Chief Executive, Christina Amadu Bombanye.
A letter dated 8th May, 2018 with the caption “SUMMONS TO A SPECIAL ASSEMBLY MEETING” and Signed by the Presiding Member for the Jirapa Municipal Assembly, Helen Zaato, stated that per the allegations of corruption and arrogance made against the MCE, the Assembly has decided to set a date for an internal elections to determine her fate.
The letter read in full:
“1. You are hereby summoned to attend a special meeting of the Jirapa Municipal Assembly scheduled on Thursday 24th May 2018 at 10:00am prompt in the Assembly Conference Hall.
2. The purpose of the meeting is to consider or otherwise a motion to pass a vote of no confidence against the Municipal Chief Executive Madam Christine Bombanye Amadu.
3. By copy of this letter, the municipal electoral officer is humbly requested to be present to conduct the elections.
4. Members as usual are entreated to attend this meeting and punctually too.”
