UDS Signs MoU With Jaksally

Dungu, Ghana – The University for Development Studies (UDS) has signed an agreement with Jaksally, a local non-governmental organisation operating in the Northern, Upper West and Brong Ahafo Regions of Ghana.

The agreement, which was signed by the Vice-Chancellor of UDS, Professor Gabriel Ayum-Teye and the Programme Coordinator of Jaksally, Mr. Jeremiah Abubakar Seidu is to ensure collaboration in the training, internship and research work of students and staff of both parties.

The agreement also allows both parties to exchange information on local resource mobilization methods focusing on Village savings and Loans (VSLA), as well as research on how VSLA can be used to support development locally.

The focus of the agreement will be on areas such as microfinance, local resource mobilization, grassroots governance, advocacy for women and community leaders, implementation of practical climate change working techniques and technologies and the development of environment enterprises studies.
