The Sawla District Director of Health Mr Bakuri David thanked the MP for the kind gesture and pledged that they will put them to good use.

The MP said the main reason why he was voted as MP is to bring development but not to waste resources on unachievable goals.

He said it will surprise many people to see this as donation from an MP in opposition but as MP you do not need to be on government before you serve your people.

He said an MP must have links to get the needed development for his constituents.

He disclosed that his share of the Common Fund is small and the highest he got is only 58,000 Ghana cedis (580 million old cedis) which he said cannot do anything.

The MP said former President John Dramani Mahama promised the people of Sawla a modern hospital with funding approved and that he followed up and as we talk construction of the hospital will start soon.

Mr Andrew Dari Chiwitey used the opportunity to refute claims he is the brain behind the recent allegations that the Brifor ethnic group which he belongs are planning a war against their landlords (Gonjas).

The Sawla-Tuna-Kalba MP said he has no intention of influencing any person or group of persons to fight the Gonjas or any other ethnic group in the constituency and that he is a peaceful man and will continue to advocate for peace.
