Tinga, Ghana – The People of Tinga in the Bole District have called on the District Chief Executive for Bole Madam Veronica Alele Heming to take steps in making sure government absorbs the Tinga Senior High school.
According to them, the school is one of their top priorities and wish the DCE could do something about it.
Speaking at a Community Development Tour by the Bole District Assembly, Chief Care Taker of Tinga, Kpankpansere-wura Abutu Adams called on the DCE to place much premium in other areas like Health, Security, Agriculture and other social issues as well.
An aide to the caretaker Chief of Tinga, Mr Dramani Alhassan said this when he spoke on behalf of the Caretaker Chief of Tinga.
He said their topmost priority is the Tinga Senior High School and therefore called on the DCE and MP to work hand in hand for the Tinga Senior High School to be absorbed by government.
The District Chief Executive Madam Veronica Alele in her address stressed that the President of the Republic of Ghana His Exellency Nana Akufo Addo has not forgetten of the people of Tinga and at the right time, the school will be absorbed by government if they follow the right procedures.
She noted that, the NPP government has shown its commitment in promoting the educational sector by implementing the Free SHS Policy to enroll more student into Senior High Schools.
Madam Veronica Alele Heming said Tinga was her first point of call in her Community development tour. The DCE said she is on Tinga to tell the people of Tinga the policies President Nana Akufo- Addo has for the people of Tinga. She said the first is Agriculture and that planting for food and jobs is one of the major things the President is interested which involves investing in Agriculture to export. She said fertiliser was subsidized and farmers pay half and that this year farmers will take coupons and then tak the fertiliser.
The DCE for Bole said the Agric department has nursed 80 thousand cashew seedlings which is free for farmers. She said thereis also sweet potatoe which farmers can farm in their yam farms.
The DCE encouraged those who have completed Senior High School to take their education serious.
She said the JHS students who have just completed will not pay fees for their children going to Senior High Schools.
The DCE Madam Alele later visited the Tinga market to handover the market stores to the people of Tinga to help them generate enough funds to help the Assembly grow to able to meet most of their demands.
