Bole, Ghana – The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has denied being behind the troubles of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Bole-Bamboi Constituency prior to their recent executive elections.
Speaking to Bole based Nkilgi FM, the Northern Regional Communication Director of NPP, Mohammed Issah, said the NPP also has problems in the Bole-Bamboi Constituency and so will not concern themselves with NDC internal problems in the same Constituency.
He said what the NDC General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, said at Bole is rubbish and the record need to be set straight.
The NPP Northern Regional Communication Director said this in reaction to a statement Mr. Asiedu Nketiah made before the NDC Constituency Executive elections in Bole- Bamboi.
Addressing NDC delegates last Saturday before the Constituency Executive election, Mr. Asiedu Nketiah said some NPP people were behind the troubles of the NDC in Bole.
He said he was at the Afram Plains and realised some four NPP people were made delegates so he made the police to arrest them.
According to him, NPP is behind the problems in NDC Constituencies that have not yet conducted their elections. “..and so it will look like there is confusion in NDC and the places they are doing those things are constituencies of leading members of the NDC”.
He said some people have made their mind that “where ever NDC prepares gari they will put sand into the gari” and that some people are in Accra but their hands are in the Bole NDC election.
Some people want to disgrace former President Mahama, he pointed out, adding that, that is why they are doing that so that Ghanaians will say there is trouble at former President John Dramani Mahama’s home town.
He said before NPP succeed in destroying NDC they will use NDC people.
But the NPP Communication Director for Northern Region Mr Mohammed Issah rubbished the assertions by Mr Asiedu Nketiah.
