Bole DCE Donates Maize to Persons Living With HIV And AIDS

Bole, Ghana – The DCE for Bole, Madam Veronica Alele Heming, has donated 10 bags of maize to the Association of Persons Living With HIV in Bole so that they can also enjoy the Muslim Edul-Adha festival.

The DCE said she is prepared to help everyone including sick people and that is why her office invited members of the (PLHIV) to assist them.

The DCE used the occasion to also call on people not to stimagtize PLHIV because they are also human  beings who deserve respect and care just like every sick person.

According to the DCE, the PLHIV people in the district are officially 45 in total but only 10 of them honoured the invitation she sent to the entire membership of the Association to come for a meeting she called.

“So the 10 bags of maize is for only those who attended meeting”, she indicated.

Madam Veronica Alele Heming thus entreated all PLHIV in the Bole-Bamboi District to endeavour to register their names with the group and also attend meetings so that anytime there is any form of assistance for the group everyone can get.

A member of the PLHIV and AIDS in the Bole District Madam Mary, urged members of the public who are living with the virus to join the Association so that they can also enjoy certain benefits from government.

She said some always say nothing worries them anytime they are invited for meetings. ” it is not about poverty or nothing worries you, but we intend forming an Association as strong like that of the disable group”.

She thanked the DCE for accepting them and for giving each and everyone of them a bag of maize.
