Nandom, Ghana – Security has been heightened at Nandom in the Upper West Region after a bloody clash erupted over a misunderstanding.
One person who sustained machete wounds on his head, has been taken to the hospital.
A house was torched in the melee.
Radio Freed’s Mohammed Abdulai reported on Friday, 24 August 2018 that the cause of the clash is not yet known but there are suspicions it had something to do with religion.
The police fired warning shots to restore calm and order and requested for reinforcement from the regional capital, Wa.
