Sawla, Ghana – The DCE for Sawla Tuna Kalba District Lawal Tamimu on Tuesday 11th September, 2018 handed over an ultra modern 10 unit dormitory to Sawla Senior High School (SAWSEC).
Speaking to Nkilgi FM, Mr. Tamimu said the congestion in the female students dormitory is a concern presented by the Headmaster of the School of which a solution has been reached.
“If you had gone to the dormitories and see for your self, you would see that the girls were sleeping two on a bed and the dormitories were choked and so I thank the Assembly, consultant and contractor for the wonderful job done”, he pointed out.
Speaking on other achievements rendered to the school, Mr. Tamimu said that he has since his assumption of office built a toilet, mechanise borehole and replaced the tyres of the school vehicles with new set.
“Most of the girls were always in town with the excuse of fetching water for daily use. We saw it necessary to give them water, and so we constructed a mechanise borehole and now you just needed to tap and water will start to flow. They complain of a toilet facility which we started and its almost completed. We are also going to give them street lights to ensure security”.
Mr. Iddisah Seidu, a GES Resource Person on behalf of the District Director of Education for Sawla-Tuna-Kalba thanked the Assembly and also promised to put the facilities into a good use.
