Wa, Ghana – Motorbike owners in the Upper West Region after having realized they are being cheated by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority in the Way Municipality have threatened to demonstrate against officials.
Some of youth in Wa who spoke to Upperwestmedia.net said they have been taken for a ride and their intelligence have been insulted.
According to the youth, the undue pressure from DVLA officials on motorbike owners in the region to register their bikes was suspicious.
They therefore insisted the demonstration will go a long way to draw more attention to the cheating at the DVLA office for solutions to be brought quickly.
The DVLA in the Upper West Region has been accused of increasing cost of registering motorbikes from Ghc116.0 0 and Ghc140.00 to Ghc350.00 thereby compelling citizens to cough up extra Ghc234.00 and Ghc210.00 respectively to be able to register their motorbikes.
