UW/R: Mahama Visits Bagbins to Mourn With Them

Sombo, Ghana – Former President John Mahama has paid a visit to the family of fellow flag bearer contender Alban Bagbin at Sombo in the Upper West Region, to console the Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament over the death of his younger brother Luke Bazin Bagbin.

Mr Mahama said even though he was in the region for a three-day campaign tour, he found it necessary to make a stopover at the Bagbins’ and mourn with them.

He later wrote on Facebook that he “visited Hon. & Mrs. Alban Bagbin in Sombo, near Wa in UWR to condole with them on the passing of his younger brother”.

The spokesperson of the Bagbins, Mr Alfred Bieriba, expressed the family’s appreciation to the former president for the gesture.

Mr Bagbin and his wife were present to receive Mr Mahama.

Mr Mahama also visited Wa Naa, Seidu Salihu Fuseini at his Palace to announce his presence in the region.

The chief gave Mr Mahama his blessings and prayed to God to grant him his wish.
