Bole Chieftaincy: ‘My Hands Are Clean’ – DCE

Bole, Ghana – The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bole, Madam Veronica Alele Heming, has denied involving herself in the Bole Chieftaincy controversy.

Speaking on her weekly programme called “DCE Be Jimine” (DCE’s Time) on Monday 15th October, 2018, she said she is related to both factions because they are one family and so has been neutral and will continue to be neutral.

The DCE said she has been accused of opening the Public Palace for Bolewura but she never did that and did not know how the Palace was opened, daring those accusing her to back their accusations with prove.

Madama Alele said people have used her name to make their case but warned that anyone who does anything to disturb the peace in Bole will be arrested.

The DCE emphasised that she wants peace and will support whoever that becomes Chief of Bole.

According to her, she does not belong to any of the factions and that she does not take decisions alone because there are technocrats at the Bole Security Committee (DISEC) like the Police, Military detachment, Fire Service and Immigration Commanders in the District.

The DCE said she cannot enskin or deskin any Chief.

She indicated that she is the Chairman of DISEC and signs letters from DISEC but she cannot talk about a letter that has been given to Chief Bukari Abudu to vacate the Public Palace at Bole.

Madam Alele said she sometimes become confused because the factions in the Bole Chieftaincy controversy refused to sign a bond at the Bole Magistrate Court to bring peace to Bole with the reason that they are one family and have no problem.

On the way forward, the Bole DCE said the major problem of Bole is rumour mongering.

She said some people want her out as DCE and so she was not surprised they mobilised young men to shout that they do not want her as DCE when some members of the Council of State and the Northern Regional Security Committee visited Bole and had a meeting with one of the factions.

‘Peopl are engaging in lies just to give me  bad name and hang me’, she stated.
