Bole Chieftaincy: I Have Not Taken Side – DCE

Bole, Ghana – The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bole Madam Veronica Alele Heming, has refuted claims that she has taken side in the Bole chieftaincy conflict.

She also debunked allegations that she has been supporting one faction of the dispute with weapons and local warriors to come and destroy her own beloved hometown of Bole which she said, “I am jealously trying very hard to develop”.

In a rejoinder to a group called Concerned Youth of Bole, the Bole DCE stated that, as the Chairperson of the District Security Council (DISEC), she is constantly being accused by both factions of the conflict for some decisions they took to help address the issue.

She explained that it is wrong for anybody to blame her for creating any problem.

The DCE said it is unfortunate her detractors are once again attempting to use the chieftaincy issue to give her a bad name and seek for her removal from office as the DCE for Bole.

The DCE entreated all to treat the content of an unsigned document authored and circulated by one Abdulai Haruna (aka Obey) with the highest contempt it deserves.

Madam Veronica Alele Heming appealed to all and sundry in and outside Bole District to come together and work for peace in Bole for rapid development to take place and stop the blame game.

A few days ago a group called Concerned Youth of Bole organised a press conference at Bole and among many issues, said Madam Veronica Alele Heming has not only taken an entrenched position in the Bole chieftaincy matter but also used her position to empower and resourced a faction in the dispute with sophisticated arms and ammunitions to kill and eliminate anyone who questions their authority in town.

The group said the Bole DCE further went on to hire highly armed warriors from a neighbouring village and conveyed them with her official vehicle to come to Bole to foment trouble with the option to shoot and kill anyone who attended the traditional Damba dance which was organised by one of the rival chiefs in the Bole chieftaincy issue.
