Damongo: NPP Chairman Presents 4 Computers, Books, Lanterns to Murugu Sch. on Behalf of Dep. Chief of Staff

Damongo, Ghana – The NPP Chairman for Damongo Constituency, Nana Kwame Aboagye, has donated educational materials including four computers and accessories, a generator set, 1,500 books and 50 solar lanterns to the Murugu Primary School in the West Gonja District of the newly created Savannah Region on behalf of the Deputy Chief of Staff to President Nana Akufu-Addo, Samuel Abu Jinapor.

Chairman Nana Kwame Aboagye who is also the Assemblyman for the Atributo Electoral Area in Damongo town also handed over 200 bags of cement to the school towards the construction of a teachers bungalow.

He explained to Bole based Nkilgi FM in an interview that, it was the wish of Lawyer Jinapor to present the items himself but due to his busy schedules he delegated him to make the donation on his behalf.

Receiving the items on behalf of the school, the West Gonja District Director of Education, Mr. Salifu Adams thanked Mr. Abu Jinapor for the intervention and urged him to do more to support other communities in the district.

He used the opportunity to also appeal for more from people who can help in raising the standards of education especially in the rural areas in the West Gonja District

Before the donation on Sunday, the Deputy Chief of Staff Abu Jinapor earlier funded the construction of a midwifery quarters and handed it over to the community some weeks ago.

Chairman Nana Kwame Aboagye enumerated all the interventions of the Deputy Chief of Staff which include sponsoring someone from Murugu to Hajj pilgrimage, recruiting a young man from the community into the Police Service, building of a quarters for midwives, supply of 50 solar panels and 200 bags of cement to mold blocks for a teachers quarters.

He said the Deputy Chief of Staff is not an MP but doing a lot for Murugu as a community.

He called for comparison between what Deputy Chief of Staff Abu Jinapor has done for Murugu in just two years after the NPP government came to power and what the MP for Damongo Adams Mutawakilu Garlus has done for Murugu after four years as DCE and eight years as an MP.
