Bole: PWDs Reject Goats From Bole District Assembly

Bole, Ghana – The Ghana Federation of the Disabled in the Bole District has rejected goats from the Bole District Assembly.

The District Assemblies Common Fund Act stipulates that three per cent of the fund is given to Persons with Disability to, among others, support their businesses.

Nkilgi can report that the Bole District Assembly bought about seventy (70) goats from the Common Fund of the Disabled to be distributed to the Disabled who applied for the animals to start rearing.

But the Executives of the Ghana Federation of the Disabled in Bole District have rejected the goats after inspecting them saying the goats bought are sick with about twenty one (21) dead. He said while inspecting the goats three died I front of them.
Nkilgi FM spoke to an Executive of the National Federation of the Disabled in the Bole District Mr Abubakari popularly called DJ Some Friends and he confirmed the rejection of the goats. He said the goats from their sources were bought by some NPP activists instead of officers of the Bole District Assembly.

Mr Abubakari said the DCE for Bole Madam Veronica Alele Heming was not in Bole yesterday and that they will seek audience with the DCE over the issue when she comes back home.
