Damongo, Ghana – The current Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for Damongo, Nana Kwame Aboagye popularly known as Chairman Aseda, has said he is the best to win more seats and maximize votes for the NPP in the newly created Savannah Region.
Speaking to Bole based Nkilgi FM in an exclusive interview at his private residence in Damongo, Chairman Nana Kwame confirmed his intention to contest the position of Regional Chairman and hope to win massively because he has the experience and possess unique qualities that will help the NPP garner more votes in former President Mahama’s home Region.
He said he will institute skills and capacity trainings for the people particularly the youth whom he believes ought to be schooled on different kinds of life skills citing education and soccer as key areas to advance and transform the NPP in the region.
Chairman Nana Kwame who is also the Assembly man for the Attributo-Abingakura Electoral Area in the Damongo township said it is through his hard work that he has been able to successfully lead the NPP as Organiser and now Constituency Chairman.
He said he has passed through the ranks of party leadership at the Constituency level beginning as a young patriot of the youth wing of the NPP in the Damongo Constituency and later as an elected Constituency Organiser in the 2013 constituency executive election held in Damongo.
He said through numerous assistance to his community, he set a record by winning as an Assemblyman in an area that no NPP sympathizer has ever won.
He added that, the Damongo Constituency admired his hard work and voted massively for him to become the youngest Constituency Chairman in Ghana in 2018.
This he also believes was as a result of the fact that he worked hard by touring all constituencies in the Savannah Region to campaign for the party which culminated in the victory in 2016.
Chairman Kwame who is a known philanthropist is currently the Regional Chairmen caucus Organiser, another remarkable achievement before Savannah Region was carved out of the Northern Region.
The businessman entreated delegates of NPP across the Savannah Region to give him the nod to lead the newly created region for more successes.
He also called for peaceful and fruitful campaigns devoid of insults and allegations.
