McDan Foundation Builds School Block at Teong

Teong, Ghana – The McDan Foundation has built a modern school block at the Teong community in the Tempane district of the Upper East Region.

The school has eight well furnished classrooms, a headteacher’s office and a store room.

With a population of 300, the pupils used to study under trees.

The head teacher, Yidanaba Batuma Timothy in an interview revealed that teachers and the pupils were subjected to bad weather especially during the harmattan season coupled with snake bites.

Following a media report by GHone, the McDan Foundation built the school to alleviate the plight of the students.

The school was built by Wembley Sports Construction Company Limited.

The construction firm’s Chief Executive Officer, Robert Tetteh Coleman said the construction works lasted for three months.
