NPP in Bole- Bamboi Suspends Outspoken Communicator

Bole, Ghana – The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bole-Bamboi constituency has suspended a Commuincation Team member of the party called Mr Awudu Rafiu for daring to say that some important projects in the Bole District have been left to rot under the Akufo-Addo government.

The NPP in Bole- Bamboi Constituency has been boiling since Bole based Nkilgi Fm carried a story of the NPP Communication Team member Mr Awudu Rafiu wrote to take on his own party for neglecting major projects started by the erstwhile John Mahama administration.

According to him, work on various social intervention projects meant to transform the lives of residents within the Bole-Bamboi Constituency has been halted since the exit of the previous government.

A letter signed by the Communication officer of NPP in the Bole-Bamboi constituency Mr Raphael Akati Mahama said even though Awudu Rafiu has stopped attending radio programs and meetings of the team since 2017, it is now official that he has officially been suspended indefinitely from the team after his written lamentations.

Many people in the NPP are condemning the suspension since the letter from the communication director is targeted at individuals instead of responding to the issues.

Meanwhile Awudu Rafiu has said that he will always be NPP because the root of NPP started from the Manhyia palace where is a potential king maker. He said the truth of 1943 is still the truth in 2019.

Awudu Rafiu said it is sad his people are not seeing what he is seeing and that he was only talking about the development of Bole.

On the same issue Alhaji Kambeliba who is close to the DCE for Bole Madam Veronica Alele Heming is asking if the suspension of Awudu Rafiu will solve the problems of NPP in the Bole- Bamboi Constituency?

Alhaji Kambeliba said Rafiu was the same person who was sharing or distributing the letters of an unconstitutional demonstration but the NPP in Bole- Bamboi never saw anything wrong with that. He is asking why Rafiu will be suspended this early without using the NPP party constitution.

In a related development the General Manager Bole based Nkilgi FM Mr Mahama Haruna is demanding an unqualified apology from the Communication officer of the NPP in the Bole-Bamboi constituency for what he referred to as an attack on him and not a response to what Rafiu Awudu wrote.

Mahama Haruna said he is very disappointed in the NPP Communication officer for Bole- Bamboi Constituency Mr Raphael Mahama Akati for signing a statement full of lies. Mr Mahama Haruna said he has a problem with the statement from the NPP Communication Officer because he wrote that;
“…The said radio station Nkiligi FM 103.7 MHZ which is the source of this publication is owned by the opposition leader John Dramani Mahama of the NDC and also managed by one Mahama Haruna who is known to be an ardent supporter of the opposition leader John Dramani Mahama and also known to have switch his support he had for the NPP to the NDC since election 2012”.

Mr Mahama Haruna said that portion of the press release is unnecessary and absurd asking; “Who told Raphael Mahama Akati that Nkilgi Fm is owned by former President John Dramani Mahama and can he show any document to prove that?”

Mahama Haruna added; “what has my my support for former President John Dramani Mahama gotten to do with whatever the NPP Communication team member Awudu Rafiu said”.
