Tamale, Ghana – The Tamale Central Mosque is undergoing a major facelift with funding by a philanthropist popularly called Alhaji Siidi.

A member of the Mosque Steering Committee, Alhaji Abdullah Hindu in an interview praised Alhaji Siidi for his kind gesture.

He said individuals contributions to the Mosque current outlook could not be underestimated.

Alhaji Hindu reminded Muslims who worship there to change their attitudes and always know that, “Cleanliness is next to Godliness.”

The late Alhaji Yahaya Iddi, the late Alhaji Mahamadu Maida, the late Alhaji Adam Progress among others masterminded the construction of the Tamale Central Mosque architecture.

The two-storey building Mosque with a capacity of 5,000 was rebuilt on Wednesday 6, March 1974.
