Insecurity: Chief Imam’s Spokesman Worried About Increasing Situation

Accra, Ghana – The revered spokesman of the national Chief Imam, Sheikh Aremeyawu Shaibu is deeply worried about the imcreasing spate of insecurity in Ghana.

According to him, attacking, maiming, killing security officers and vandalizing police stations are unacceptable.

He described the prevailing circumstances as the nation’s major human catastrophe and thus called for a multifaceted approach to solve the problem.

The Chief Imam Spokesman’s outburst comes at the back of the inscesant acts of kidnapping, killing of police officers and other related crimes making citizens apprehensive about their safety.

The alleged foiled Coup d’etat has worsened the situation at hand.

The man of God stressed that tackling the menace is a collective responsibility.

In his Friday sermon at the Masjid Dar Salam at the Airport Residential Area, the renowned Islamic Scholar said Islam forbids acts of terrorism and urged Muslims to live exemplary lifestyles.

Sheikh Aremeyawu said all citizens must assist the law enforcement agencies to smoke out persons and groups attempting to make the nation ungovernable.

He tasked the law enforcement agencies to intensify their patrols at the nation’s entry points to prevent terrorists from causing mayhem.
