Mankuma, Ghana – A serious collision of a Ssanyoung minibus and Sprinter Benz bus at Mankuma in the Bole District of the Savannah Region this dawn around 5:40am has resulted in fatalities.
The situation at the moment at Mankuma according to Nkilgi FM report is bad.
The Sprinter bus was traveling with passengers from Bole while the Ssangyoung minibus was also coming from Sawla when they collided right at the Mankuma Dam.
Three people died on the spot with many seriously injured. The people of Mankuma have been able to remove one of the dead from one of the buses but as at the time of filing this report the other two were still trapped inside the bus.
Residents of Mankuma are frantically trying all they can to remove the dead.
The injured are strewn all over the place.
An Ambulance from the National Ambulance Service and another from the Police arrived at the scene around 6:00am to evacuate the injured to the Bole Government Hospital.
