Tamale: MTN Ghana Foundation Presents Hampers to New Born Babies in Two Hospitals

Tamale, Ghana – MTN Ghana Foundation has presented twenty (20) hampers to new born babies and their mothers at the Tamale Teaching and Yendi Government Hospitals in the Northern Region.

The presentation by the corporate social responsibility arm of the mobile company seeks to celebrate mothers and particularly new born babies who were delivered on Christmas Day in the two health facilities.

Obed Adu Amankwa, Northern Sector Area Sales Manager who led a team from MTN Ghana to make the presentation, also promised customers of many more innovative products and services in the ensuing year.

He urged customers of MTN Ghana to report every complaint they encounter to staff at various location offices so that they can be rectified so as to enable them enjoy quality service.

A total of 11 women delivered on December 25th, 2019 at the Tamale Teaching Hospital whereas 9 others delivered at the Yendi Government Hospital.

Melissa, a mother and recipient of a hamper for her twin babies who were also delivered yesterday, thanked MTN Ghana Foundation for the presentation. Like many of the women at the labour ward of the Tamale Teaching Hospital, She asked MTN Ghana Foundation to continue to celebrate mothers and new born babies every year.

Principal Midwife at the Tamale Teaching Hospital, Hajia Zanab Yahaya, commended MTN Ghana Foundation for their gesture and hoped other companies would emulate what they do for new born babies on every Christmas Day.

In 2018, the MTN Ghana Foundation presented 20 hampers to mothers and new born babies at the Tamale Teaching and Tamale Central Hospitals. Each hamper contains a baby diaper, soap, towel, sponge, feeding bottle and other items.
