Damongo: ‘Your Call For War Very Unfortunate’ NPP Chairman to NDC’s

Damongo, Ghana – The Savannah Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana affectionately called Professor Kalamonia has described as unfortunate and reckless a warmongering statement made by his colleague Chairman of the National Democratic Congress.

The Savannah Regional NDC Chairman, Alhaji Imoru Seidu is reported to said at a recent health walk organised by the party that,  Ghana would be plunged into chaos and confusion like Kenya, Siera Leone and Ivory Coast should the Electoral Commission of Ghana delete any voter’s name from the country’s electoral register.

An audio recording of the NDC Chairman’s purported statement which has since gone viral has received public condemnation from many peace loving individuals including Prof Kalamonia.

According to Prof Kalamonia, the people of Savannah Region are peace loving and development oriented and will embrace a political party like the NPP which is development minded.

He said the biggest thing to ever happen to the people of Gonjaland is the creation of the Savannah Region. “the creation of the region will bring along the establishment of some regional departments and offices that will propel development”.

Showing video evidence of the construction of a road leading to the residences of the Damongo Catholic Bishop and the Member of Parliament for the Damongo constituency, Adam Mutawakilu, he retorted that the road is just a tip of the iceberg as several of them are ongoing in the regional capital.

Prof Kalamonia called on the NDC Regional Chairman of the Savannah Region to be grateful to President Nana Akufo-addo “because it is President Akufo-addo created the region that he (Alhaji Imoro) got the chance to become a regional chairman of his party”.
