“There was something that did not attract my attention but this time we are going to resurrect those projects. I am referring to the housing projects here. It started in 2007 but as of now I don’t know what is happening. These among many others are areas that we are going to focus on.” Dr. Bin Salih said.
“Roads are of important to me but there is one particular road that we are going to focus on: that is the Wa-Tumu- Bolga Road. I have already discussed with the Minister of Roads, once I settle, I will go back so that we see how we are going to work on it. Portions of it has been awarded. Portions that have not been awarded will be packaged and awarded on contract.”
He used the opportunity to eulogize all MDCDs for their cooperation since he took office as the Regional Minister two years ago. He asked them to continue to be professional, loyal and neutral in the discharge of their duties.

“Is as a result of your support and cooperation that we were able to deliver to the satisfaction of H.E the President. And I want to use this opportunity to appeal to you to continue to give up your best. You are not politicians, you are technocrats, your primary duty is to advice the politician. You are supposed to be professional, loyal and neutral. If you want to be a politician, then resign and join me” he added.
The construction of the Wa affordable housing has stalled for over a decade and many residents have been incensed over the delay.
