The social media trend #FIXTHECOUNTRY which has gained attention in public space in my view is a good sign of participatory citizenry who probably need more information from office holders about the decisions and sacrifices from government that has sustained the country in the last 4years.
In a COVID-19 economy, whiles most countries are worried about the survival their human resource, In our country, the leadership of the President in handling the pandemic has propelled us to go beyond survival to revival of the economy. This we must highlight as we continue fixing the country together.
President Nana Akufo Addo has demonstrated in the last 4years across the country that he is capable of fixing our problems. Fixing a country is a process and it requires a collaborative and participatory engagement.
In Fixing the country, The President in his 4years has fixed some problems in my constituency that have persisted since Adam and has continued same in his second term. He has fixed Major Roads, Fixed Electrification in More than 38 rural communities, Upgraded the District to Municipal Status, Moved the Economy out of IMF which has enabled government agencies to employ some youth in my constituency, Fixed some water issues, Dams, an Ambulance, Set up NHIS and Immigration office in my constituency, Implemented FSHS which is a great relief to parents, Implemented the Planting and Rearing for food and Jobs among others.
Also, The President is fixing a Police Post at Ko and Kokoligu, an ultra modern Theatre in NANDOM hospital, a market at Ko and Kokoligu, A community Centre and some schools. This is the status of #FIXTHECOUNTRY at the level of my constituency!
