Karaga: MP Joins Constituents to Celebrate Ghana’s Indce Anniversary

Karaga, Ghana – Member of Parliament for the Karaga Constituency and Deputy Minister for Energy on Sunday March 6, 2022 joined his constituents to celebrate Ghana’s 65th Independence Anniversary at Karaga in the Northern Region.

Dr Mohammed Amin Adam who was a guest of honour,  “took the opportunity to express my gratitude to the people and particularly workers in the decentralized institutions for their service to our motherland.”

In line with his commitment towards ensuring equitable distribution of resources to state institutions, he also donated 25 laptop computers to 14 institutions.

The beneficiary institutions are the Ghana Education Service, Karaga Senior High School, District Health insurance, National Disaster Management Organisation, National Commission for Civic Education and the Agric Department.

The rest are the Nation Builders Corps, National Service Scheme, Ghana Health Service, Karaga District Hospital, Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice, District Police Command, the Military Command and Office of the District Chief Executive.

Dr Adam also assured the people of his commitment to provide permanent solution to the Karaga Town Water problem, adding that “feasibility has been completed.”

He also announced the connection of electricity to the remaining 21 communities, where contractors are currently at various stages of completion.

“When completed by the end of this year, Karaga will achieve 100% electricity coverage, next to the Tamale Metropolis.”

Achievements

“We also celebrated our modest achievements as a District. Karaga SHS was among the top 4 schools in last years WASSCE in the Northern Region and among the top 10 in Northern Sector.

Similarly, the Karaga District Hospital was adjudged the best performing hospital in the Northern Region last year and the second best this year”, the MP added.
