Pre-Universities In Ashanti Region Faces PAC In Sunyani Public Hearing

Sunyani, Ghana – The Regional Minister of Bono Region, Justina Owusu-Banahene, joined Members of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) at its Public Hearing on Tuesday in Sunyani to consider the Auditor-General’s Report on the Public Accounts of Pre-University Educational Institutions for the year ended 31st December, 2018.

The Public Hearing chaired by Hon. James Klutse-Avedzi and supported by the Vice- Chairman Hon. Samuel Atta-Mills, Ranking Member Hon. Kofi Okyere Agyekum and Members of the Committee questioned Heads of the Institutions on various infractions cited by the Auditor-General in the Reports.

Some of the schools that appeared before the Committee includes Agogo State College, Okomfo Anokye SHS, Dadease Agric SHS, Kofiase Adventist SHS, Tijaniya SHS, Bodwesango SHS, Kumasi Technical Institute, Barekese SHS, St. Mary’s Girls SHS and Tweneboa Kodua SHS.

The rest were Manso-Adubia SHS, Mabang SHTS, Seventh Day Adventist SHS, Adugyama SHS, Kofi Agyei’s SHTS, Agogo Presby Nursing Training School, Ofoase SHTS, Ashanti School for the Deaf and Garden City Special School.
