North Tongu: MP Launches Skills Program to Train Over 500 Youth

Tamale, Ghana – 560 constituents from all 6 traditional areas in the North Tongu District in the Volta Region would receive specialized training in the weeks ahead from master craftsmen in ICT, fashion design and hair dressing.

The package includes startup funds to establish new businesses in North Tongu.

In addition to their startup capital, the ICT trainees shall all receive new laptops.

“Glad all community partners, especially our Chiefs, the North Tongu DCE and GES are all on board.

I am exceedingly grateful to GIZ and Africa Skills Hub for this impactful collaboration”, Member of Parliament for the North Tongu Constituency Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa said in his speech during the Launch on Wednesday.
