Hamile: Lambussie MP Donates to Holy Family SHS, Challenges Students Perform Well at WASSCE

Hamile, Ghana – As part of efforts towards the improvement of quality education within the Lambussie District and Constituency, Member of Parliament for the area Dr. Bright Bakye Yelviel Baligi recently donated teaching and learning materials to Holy Family Senior High School at Hamile.

The items donated included a
photocopier machine, printer, toners of various types, passive inbuilt speakers and a wireless microphone.

The rest are a refrigerator, television, satellite decoder, filing cabinets, two desktop computers, marker boards and 20 realms of A4 paper.

Making the presentation before a cheerful staff and enthusiastic students, Dr. Baligi admonished them to make good use of the items in a manner that would inure to their benefit and those that would come after them.

Recalling his days as a student at Ullo S.H.S at Jirapa Municipality, he shared his humble beginnings with students, how he progressed to the level of a PhD holder and lecturer at the University before getting the opportunity to represent the good people of Lambussie in Parliament.

Dr. Baligi used the opportunity to dispel the notion held by many people that, students from less endowed schools in the country, especially in the Northern sector did not have the academic wherewithal to compete favorably with their colleagues in the Southern sector

“This picture painted is an anomaly and totally unfortunate and in fact, the reverse is rather true. I am therefore challenging you the students to show to the world, your might and intellectual prowess in the ongoing West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination.”

Receiving the items on behalf of the school, the Headmaster expressed his gratitude to the legislator for responding to their call for assistance. He pledged to put the items into good use to benefit all the students.
