Busunu NPP Youth Applauds Regional Chairman for Averting Fight With NDC Members at Busunuwurche’s Funeral

Busunu, West Gonja – Youth of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) at Busunu in the West Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region of Ghana have lauded the peaceful leadership style of the party’s Regional Chairman Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana.

According to the Busunu NPP Youth, but for the peaceful and calm attitude exhibited by the Savannah Regional Chairman who is popularly known as Proff Kalamonia, there would have been bloodbath between the NPP youth and the youth of the opposition National Democratic Congress at a recent funeral of the late Busunuwurche.

Seidu Sakibu, Public Relations Officer of the NPP who spoke to SavannahNews, said the only thing that calm the unwarranted tension caused by the NDC youth at the funeral was the presence and leadership of their Regional Chairman.

In an earlier statement he issued to the media on Wednesday, he said: “Professor kalamonia in his leadership skills instructed and cautioned his Security details and the NPP grassroots in the attempt to implore negative mechanisms to resist the attempt not to retaliate and to be calm and allow the security agencies present at the venue to handle the situation. This caught our attention and we wish to use this opportunity to commend Chairman Kalamonia for his sterling leadership.

We wish to conclude by applauding him for his kind leadership skills and to call on the leadership of the party right from the Constituency, Regional to the National level to ensure they put some mechanisms in place to for stall any future thuggery plans of the NDC in the 2024 General election.”

Below is a statement from the NPP Youth:

NPP YOUTH OF BUSUNU APPLAUDS THE STERLING LEADERSHIP OF PROFF KALAMONIA

Earlier Sunday 25th March 2024,the final funeral rite of our lovely grandmother, a woman of substance, indeed a woman of virtue, the late Busunuwurche was performed. People from all walks of life came to Busunu to pay their last respects and prayers to her.

Indeed it’s a great honor having people in and around coming to mourn with us but in a twist of events, we sadly suffered what we call political embarrassment at the scene.

In the commencement of events, NDC hoodlums from Tamale known as “Hawks” who were indeed in NDC branded T shirts “24 hour economy” suspected to be NDC guys from Tamale whose presence saw thuggery and intimidation on anyone they suspected to be an NPP member on the grounds.

Before the arrival of the government delegation, they attacked an NPP branded party vehicle and got its drivers mirror destroyed. Warning shots were fired by the security to disperse such an unfortunate attack on the innocent people and the vehicle.

The same thugs in the NDC branded T-shirts were seen trying so hard to prevent the government delegation led by the venerable Chief of Staff of the Republic of Ghana, the hardworking MP for Damango Lawyer Abu Jinapor, the Savannah Regional Chairman, Professor Kalamonia and the Regional Minister from accessing the grounds left alone to mount the podium that was meant to host the dignitaries.

Professor kalamonia in his leadership skills instructed and cautioned his Security details and the NPP grassroots in the attempt to implore negative mechanisms to resist the attempt not to retaliate and to be calm and allow the security agencies present at the venue to handle the situation. This caught our attention and we wish to use this opportunity to commend Chairman Kalamonia for his sterling leadership.

We wish to conclude by applauding him for his kind leadership skills and to call on the leadership of the party right from the Constituency, Regional to the National level to ensure they put some mechanisms in place to for stall any future thuggery plans of the NDC in the 2024 General election.
