MTN Ghana Committed to Delivering Quality Services – Nii Adotey

Sagnarigu, Ghana – MTN Ghana has reiterated its commitment to delivering quality services to Ghanaians across all its subsidiaries in the country.

According to the telecom and technological behemoth, numerous investments and new initiatives were being made to address network challenges nationwide.

Nii Adotey Mingle, General Manager of MTN Ghana in-charge of Northern Ghana, said the company since its inception to date, had invested in over five thousand cell sites nationwide.

‘The result of these investments coupled with other technological initiatives has given us 99% population coverage on 2G, 3G and 4G networks nationwide. Additionally, we have deployed over 300 rural telephony stations nationwide to boost communication service in many communities where making a call is still a challenge to most people’.

Mr. Mingle said these at a forum of editors and other media professionals organized by MTN Ghana at Sagnarigu in the Northern Region on Tuesday.

The annual forum dubbed “MTN Editors’ Forum” brings together editors and other media professionals across the Northern and Savannah Regions to learn and discuss issues in the country’s telecom industry especially those related to MTN Ghana and its subsidiaries.

Nii Adotey also announced that, till date MTN Ghana had completed 166 social projects spread across areas such as education, health and entrepreneurship.

‘An amount of Gh¢106.5 million has been invested in social impact projects. This has impacted 4.5 million lives directly and indirectly’, he added.

In line with MTN Ghana’s 2025 transformation agenda, the company is now refocusing its corporate social responsibility objectives to issues related to by information communication and technology.

By 2025, MTN Ghana hopes to focus as much as 75% of its CSR investments on ICT related projects. This translates to 15,000 individuals who would be job ready, 1400 people placed in jobs and 50,000 taken through career guidance.
