Bole: Youth Unite Against Dusk to Dawn Curfew

Bole, Ghana – The Youth of Bole met on Sunday and took a decision to fight for the curfew imposed on theit district to be lifted.

At a charged meeting at the Old Community Centre in Bole, the youth also pledged to unite to fight to restore peace and unity among in the area.

The youth also agreed to write a formal letter to some stakeholders for the curfew in Bole to be lifted.

The youth argued that the people of Bole are now going about their normal duties peacefully and so it is imperative that the curfew be lifted.

They also said the tension and fear that gripped Bole in the aftermath of a Chieftaincy clash recently has also faded into thin air.

An Executive board for the Youth was constituted and they are;

  1. Chairman- Abubakari Ibraihim (Kapala)
  2. Vice- Chairman- Sulemana Amadu Amart
  3. Secretary Haruna Abudulai Obey
  4. Deputy Secretary- Alhaji Baba
  5. Organiser- Abutu Akula
  6. Deputy Organiser- Kassim Eliasu
  7. PRO- Adam Sulemana

An Advisory Committee was formed and the membership include the General Manager of Nkilgi FM Mahama Haruna, the NDC Youth Organiser for Bole- Bamboi Alhaji Alhassan Kassim and one Alhaji Adam Bakar.

Other members of the Advisory Committee are Mr Salifu Mahama, Mr Saaka Zakaria, Mr Ibin Batuta and Oldman Wagashi.
