Sagnarigu: Kanvili Nuyuumul Islamic Primary School Gets New Classrooms

Kanvili, Ghana – The Sagnarigu Municipal Chief Executive, Iddrisu Mariam has inaugurated a six-unit classroom block at the Kanvili Nuyuumul Islamic Primary School in the Northern Region.

It is one of several school projects undertaken by the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETfund) in the municipality to promote education in the area.

Speaking to Class News, Ms Mariam said the project is among many others being constructed through the GETfund in various communities in the Sagnarigu municipality.

The construction of the school, she said, began in July last year and thanked President Nana Akufo-Addo for its successful completion.

According to the MCE, apart from infrastructure, the government is striving to provide teaching and learning materials and ICT centres across the country for the implementation of the free senior high school policy.

The six-classroom block consists of a library and an office complex for the head teacher and the staff. The classrooms are furnished with dual desks.

The head teacher of the school, Mr. Issah Tampuli Imoro thanked the government and the Sagnarigu Municipal Assembly for the swift response to their plea.
