Tamale, Ghana – Chief Executive Officer of BrivyWells Company Limited, Emmanuel Dovi Gbedema, has refuted claims that the rosewood processing factory which he founded belongs to a Chinese fugitive called Helena Huang.
About a fortnight ago, Helena Huang was arrested by police in the Northern Region in possession of banned forest products known as rosewood.
She was granted police enquiry bail but vanished into tin air immediately she was released from custody.
At the time of Helena Huang’s incident, a rosewood processing factory at Yipala near Damongo in the Savannah Region was also closed down by Regional Minister Salifu Braimah.
Media reports on the shutting down of the factory sought to suggest that the company belonged to Helena Huang.
But in a press release issued today by the CEO of BrivyWells, he stated that Helena Huang does not own a percentage of shares in the company he founded himself.
