Lawra: Guor Community, Clinic Gets New Borehole

Lawra, Ghana – Chie Executive for the Lawra Municipal Assembly, Martin Bomba-ire on Monday handed over a newly sunk borehole to the Guori community at Domwine-Koh to serve residents and their clinic.

The sinking of the borehole funded by the Member of Parliament for the Lawra Constituency, Anthony N-yoh Abayifaa Karbo who doubles as the Deputy Roads Minister came after the community appealed to him through their MCE to assist them get water to serve them and their Clinic which has been there for so many years without any potal water.

Chief of the community, Naah Dabuo Cameleous who spoke on behalf of his people thanked the MP and MCE for honouring their request.

He was also happy that, a contractor was already in the community working to extend electricity from Domwine to the Koh-Guori community of which the clinic will be a beneficiary.

“Like Oliver twist who is always asking for more”, the chief appealed to the MP and MCE to try and get them another borehole to serve those at the far end of the community because they have to walk about 3 kilometres every day to fetch water from a nearby community.

The MCE advised the people to take very good care of the borehole, maintain it and keep it’s environs clean to serve its desired purpose.

He announced that, plans were far advanced to open up a road from Koh through the clinic to Guori and also from Guori linking the Domwine clinic.

The Nurse in charge, Madam Esther commended the MP and MCE for the wonderful job well executed and prayed that God should continue to protect and guide them in their work so they can deliver more for their constituents.
