Nandom NPP: Alois Celebrates Christmas With Party Executives

Tamale, Ghana – A New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary aspirant for the Nandom Constituency in the Upper West Region of Ghana, Alois Mohl, as part of his longstanding tradition of celebrating with party executives at all levels every Christmas, has presented a 5 kilogram bag of rice and 900 milligrams of cooking oil to each officer.

According to the former Deputy CEO of the Social Investment Fund, he also met and spent time with selected widows and needy persons across the Nandom Constituency.

“I pray that God gives us life and good health to scale up in the coming years”, Honourable Mohl said this in a Facebook post on Saturday December 30th shortly after his meeting with the grassroots officers of the NPP.

Apart from 2020 which was an election year, Mr. Mohl since 2019 has always presented bags of rice and cooking oil to polling station executives, electoral area coordinators and constituency executives of the party as a good gesture and demonstration of his Christian values every Christmas period.

Besides party executives who are Christians, the Muslims amongst them are catered for in the period of Ramadan. He shares items such as sugar and other things to enable go through the fasting successfully.

All 88 polling station executives, 25 electoral area coordinators as well as 17 constituency executives, Christians and Muslims alike, were given the bags of rice and cooking oil in this recent donation.

Party elders, some selected widows and other individuals were not left out on this special occasion.

Mr. Alois Mohl is tipped to win the upcoming NPP parliamentary aspirant elections sometime in 2024 due to his commitment, sacrifice and enormous contributions to the party at the constituency, regional and national levels over the years.

He is seen by many delegates in the party as a good replacement for the incumbent Member of Parliament and Minister for the Interior Ambrose Dery who is considered “old and tired”.

Alois is relatively younger. He is in his 50s and with over 30 years experience in public service.

He previously held positions such as Deputy Director and Head of Desk of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) at the Ministry of Social Welfare and Manpower Development from 2011 to 2013.

He also served as the Deputy Director and National Coordinator of Care Reforms of the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection from 2013 to 2015. He was the Head of Desk of International Social Services (ISS) of the Department of Social Welfare at the Headquarters from 2002 to 2011.

Mr. Mohl served in various capacities within the NPP including as a member of the 2020 Upper West Regional Presidential Campaign Team for Nana Akufo-Addo.

He held the position of Second Vice Chairman for the Lawra-Nandom Constituency between 2005 and 2010. From 2010 to 2014, he served as the Chairman of the Upper West Regional Disciplinary Committee.

He was also a member of the National ICT Committee which introduced the NPP’s first plastic biometric membership cards.
