The Beginning of By Faith Catering Foundation
By Faith Charity Foundation was launched in 2013 and since 2014 it has organized parties every year for the poor and destitute as part of the corporate social responsibilities of By Faith Catering Services.
According to Sir Pipio Eib, a Director of By Faith Catering Services and co-founder of By Faith Charity Foundation, the main objective of the Foundation, was to provide care and support to the poor and destitute, Catholics and non-Catholics who reside within and outside the Tamale and Sagnarigu communities.
He explained that, By Faith Charity Foundation was actually founded in 2013 following the death of a Catholic priest called Rev. Fr. Martin Balamas. The late priest, he recounted, used to take very good care of the poor and destitute in the Holy Cross Parish.
However, during the funeral of Fr. Balamas, the poor including disabled people felt they had lost their only source of livelihood.
‘They wept so much so that my wife Dame Mrs. Pipio Eib who was at the funeral was touched and decided that she would take it upon herself and annually bring together all the poor and vulnerable the late Fr. Balamas was taking care of and throw a party for them,’ he added.
Since 2014, every February the month of love, Sir Matthew Pipio Eib and his wife Dame Mrs. Matilda Pipio Eib have been organizing all the poor and vulnerable and bringing them together to make merry.
