Tamale, Ghana – Neuce Ghana, a Portuguese paint manufacturing and multinational company, has sensitized one hundred (100) professional and amateur painters in the Northern Region.
The sensitization programme, which was held at the Radach Lodge and Conference Centre, was aimed at providing opportunity to painters to gain new knowledge in painting trends and also introduce to them products from the company.
Antoinette Okyere, Head of Marketing Communications of Neuce Ghana, who spoke to SavannahNewsOnline in an exclusive interview, said that “we’ve trained painters in several regions and cities including Takoradi, Cape Coast and in Accra.”
“….one of the core values of Neuce is continuous education and learning of our painters. So we take it upon ourselves to always train our painters and this is the first time we are coming to the Northern Region, Tamale to be specific, to train the painters here, to give them knowledge about the industry, most importantly, and also educate them on the various products we have in our portfolio.”
The Tamale training targeted only 50 painters but at the end over one hundred professional painters as well as up-and-coming ones showed up for the one-day sensitization programme.
“I would say we had a hundred percent over. We were expecting 50 people, but a hundred people turned out, which is great. We were able to give the information and the knowledge that we came here to do. We have also taken note of all the suggestions and concerns from participants and we’re going to act on them,” she added.
Neuce has been around since 1988 until 2014 when the Portuguese company with presence in Kenya, Angola, Nigeria and other African countries started production and commercial operation in Tema, Ghana. It is an ISO certified company and produces some of the best brand of paints for the Ghanaian market. These include acrylic paints, waterproof paints and enamel paints.
“We also have the wood coating line, the industrial line, road marking line and floor painting line of paints. We are always looking to innovate on our products. So our tagline says the future of paints, because we are always looking to the future in our production and innovation. So we are always producing according to standard,” Antoinette explained.
