Tamale, Ghana – The District Chief Executive for Bole, Alele Veronica Heming, has rubbished claims by the Bole-Bamboi Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) that she is arrogant and disrespectful.
According to her, she doesn’t have any problem with the people of Bole and its environs because she is doing the bidding of the chiefs and people through the provision of development and job creation.
“I’m fine with everyone except that my colleague Executive members are just trying to fine faults with me for no apparent reason”, she told Savannahnewsonline.com in an interview on Tuesday in reaction to allegations contained in a statement issued by Chairman Zakaria Mahama and Council of Elders Chairman Mahama Budu.
According to Madam Alele, she never had any discussions with anyone which resulted in the allegations and lies being peddled against her person and seeking to create public disaffection for her.
“I’m an ex officio member of the Executives but they don’t invite me to their meetings. They meet and take decisions about expenses they want to make and they come to me for money. In spite of the fact that they have my contact number and can inform of meetings by calling or texting me or sending someone to come to my house to inform me, they will never do it.
“Development is what the people need and in my thirteen months stay in office I have developed Bole enough with support of the chiefs, women and youth in the area”, she pointed out.
Madam Alele challenged Chairmen Zakaria and Budu to mention the name of the so called aid of hers who told them that she (Alele) told him/her she was going to recoup all what she spent on her 2016 campaign.
“Mention the so-called aid who told you such lies and provide evidence to back the lies. I’m a true patriot and I don’t support a party I believe in, expecting to gain from it. I’m privileged to be appointed by His Excellency President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and I will serve the good people and chiefs of Bole with all my heart, my soul and my strength”, she said.
She enumerated construction of three CHIPS compounds, renovation of more than six basic schools, supply of over 80 thousand cashew seedlings to women and the free treatment of 126 patients with hernia and other medical conditions.
The Chief of Carpenter, a community under the Bole District, Nana Dompeh Antwi II, also urged the public to discredit the allegations by the NPP Constituency Chairman and his cohorts who want to use dubious ways to oust the hardworking DCE without any basis.
“I think their plot is politics because as a chief I don’t see anything wrong with her and so it is my prayer she gets her peace of mind to work for the development of the District.
“She has brought so much improvement in the areas of sanitation, agriculture, education and health and if only she’s given the peace of mind, she would do wonders” he said.
