Wa, Ghana – Residents in Wa woke up on Tuesday dawn with shock when a private Radio station in Wa, W93.5fm, was gutted by fire.
Reports from eyewitness has it that, the fire started in the middle of the the night from the transmission room and later spread to all the rooms in the radio station.
It was however not clear what caused the fire but some people suspect it resulted from power fluctuation.
Rescuers were able to salvage a little as the fire burnt almost all the equipment from the transmission room to the main studio.
There were no casualties.
